VASTU, ENERGY AND MATTER

Vastu is both a welfare science and a creative art of turning non-manifest energy into manifest material forms.

At the core of Vastu is the science of energy and matter. Quantum physics tells us that anything having a mass has an equivalent amount of energy and vice versa.  Einstein stated simply that E=mc2.

This simply means that any ordinary object with a modest amount of mass has a large amount of energy intrinsically

A Vedic hymn states “ vasturevavastu” which simply means that every material form in the universe, every particle,  has energy at its own specific frequency some positive some negative. As soon as we enclose free space we enclose a certain amount of these particles. Each particle radiates different energy levels, some positive some negative.

The aim of Vastu is to establish a synergy between the inhabitants , the structure, nature and the universe. If the stored energy in any building is negative, the inhabitants suffer ill health, financial problems, unhappiness etc. If the stored energy in a building is positive, the inhabitants enjoy good health, wealth and happiness.

Thus the most important principle of Vastu is the concentration of energy. Vedas call it Pranic energy.

The single source of Pranic energy is the Sun and it is the source of all other energies. This pranic energy is present throughout the universe in every particle whether solid ,liquid or gas. Pranic energy is positive energy that increases vital energy in humans.

In Physics, the First  law of Energy states that energy is neither created nor destroyed. It can only transform from one form to another. The total amount of energy in the universe is constant.

The Second Law of Energy states that  when energy is converted from one form to another it is reduced to 10% of the original amount.

This indicates that the nearer one is to the source the more energy one gets.

In other words, direct sunlight is the major source of energy in any residence, office, shop, factory etc  and for human life itself.

Solar energy received at any given place depends on the geographical location and season. In India the sun is farthest in the North-East  and closest in the South-West. Positive energy is received in early morning sunlight which consists of  beneficial UV rays and less heat.

This is the reason why it is suggested that the North-East be kept open and light for enabling a larger field for maximum positive energy. Thus a depression in the North-East will increase the amount of positive energy. A water resource in the North-East increases the intensity of absorption of energy from the atmosphere. This is why an underground tank or well is recommended in the North-East.

The South-East is the point where solar energy is received continually from sunrise to sunset. Since this is the point where solar radiations are maximum it is called the fire zone.

The South-West is the point where the sun is the closest. That is why it should be blocked and made heavy to avoid negative energies entering the building.

The North-West is the point where the lowest amount of solar energy is received.

The central part of the building is where the energy is the weakest, that is why no living space is provided there and Vastu recommends keeping the center open to the sky.

Vastu creates a positive relationship between the microcosm ie: humans , and the macrocosmie: the universe.  It has the power to change a human’s cosmic path , leading to stability and success.
